Fort Pierce, FL. March, 2011 –Maverick Boat Company continues to refine its Cobia brand model lineup with its newest release, the new 21 Bay. Debuted at the recent 2011 Miami Boat Show, the new Cobia 21 Bay has been redesigned to increase utility and passenger comfort.

Targeting more secure and cushioned seating space, a new aft deck incorporates two integrated jump seats. Both seats have storage underneath and are separated by a 28 gallon in-deck livewell. Independently adjustable bucket seats behind the helm accommodate two fully seated adults without crowding and increase backend cockpit space. For serious anglers, a leaning post with rod holders is offered as an option.

The new console includes six integrated stainless rod holders and a forward backrest cushion mounted to a lockable door that is removable, providing spacious access to the console’s interior shelf and the backside of the dash. The backrest matches up to a cushioned 72 quart cooler providing forward seating and a place to keep items cold.

A redesigned forward deck has three lockable storage compartments with gas shock- assisted fiberglass lids. Port and starboard boxes each have 2 lock and load rod holders with tube protection tubes to accommodate rods to over 7’ and at the same time can be used for storage of skis and wakeboards. Roomy enough for two anglers, a larger elevated foredeck also allows for an oversized anchor locker that can hold anchor equipment adequate for deeper water anchoring.

“Bay boats are commonly equated with fishing, but if they are properly laid out, they are used for everything from serious fishing to skiing to sand bar gatherings with the family. We enhanced that utility with the new deck design on the 21 Bay,” said MBC marketing director Charlie Johnson.

The 21 Bay is offered with either F115 or F150 Yamaha power and like all Cobias is built to ABYC standards using high grade stainless steel hardware and custom built in-

house wiring harnesses. Deck mounted items are screwed into glassed-in backing plates made of aluminum or specifically designed screw retention materials. Other standard build qualities include all fiberglass composite construction and premium grade fade-resistant gelcoat.

Cobia Boats are manufactured by Maverick Boat Company. Inc, builders of the legendary Maverick, Hewes, Pathfinder and Cobia boat brands. For more information, go to www.cobiaboats.com or www.mbcboats.com.
